I was living in my parents house and had been finished with college for eight months. At the time, the Dot-com bubble had just burst and there were hardly any jobs around, but thankfully, a guy I went to USCS with put my name in the hat at the company he worked for. After interviewing for a programming job, I started working at QS/1 Data Systems on January 29th, 2001.
Over the years, I've moved from programming on the Point of Sale product to finally designing the interfaces for all the health care products. I've formed friendships and learned lots about developing for a medium-sized company with a family feel. My technical skills have improved and been tempered.
Almost 10 years and 4 months later, I'm leaving my post as Design Analyst today to begin a new chapter in my career and journey through life. I'm looking forward to new challenges and new experiences and most of all, the opportunity to grow. I'm thankful for the opportunities that I've been afforded at QS/1 and wish them the very best.
I'll post more later about where I'll be working and what I'll be doing.
