Every morning before Dan heads off to work, he always comes and kisses me goodbye before he heads off to work. He's usually quiet and doesn't talk much because I'm NOT a morning person. I'm doing good to grunt back, "have a good day, love you..." Well, this morning my precious husband woke me up this morning with much excitement as he exclaimed extra loudly and overly happy, "Happy Star Wars Day - may the fourth be with you...."
It took me a few minutes to figure out what was going on and what he meant... My brain was like "why is he saying may the fourth be with you... oh, wait today is May 4th, and he's saying may the fourth be with you like force...." then I just stopped trying to figure it all out - because it was early, and I don't do early.
In honor of Star Wars Day today, I thought it would be super fun to make a quick dinner from Dan's Star Wars Cookbook. Yep - He has one of those! It's filled with recipes like Wookiee Cookies, Jabba Jiggle, and Han-burgers. We cooked up the Oola-La French Toast, which was yummy and simple. I also learned who Oola was!? Who would have guessed that a Twi'lek dancer in Jabba the Hut's court would be that important that she made the cookbook?!?
I'm learning and trying to be a good Star Wars wife, but I have much more to learn. I'm such a young padawan!
This was our Oola-La-French Toast and Omelet Star Wars Dinner! So yummy!!
